Wilhelm Ludwig Ewald Schmidt

Wilhelm Ludwig Ewald Schmidt (4 May 1805, Nattwerder – 5 June 1843, Szczecin) was a German physician, botanist, and entomologist.

He was the first President of the Entomological Society of Stettin.

The standard author abbreviation W.L.E.Schmidt is used to indicate this individual as the author when citing a botanical name.^[1]
